The 30-Day Pick-up Policy
Important: Because we are a busy studio with limited shelf space, we can only hold finished pieces for 30 days from the date they are completed and added to the pickup shelf. After 30 days, unclaimed pots are sadly cleared out to make room for new creations. Please check the status of your work above and plan your visit accordingly!
Why does it take 3–6 weeks?
We know you're excited to pick up your pottery! Creating ceramics is a time-intensive process. Here is the journey your piece takes:
- 1. Drying (1–2 weeks): Pieces must be 100% dry to avoid cracking or exploding in the kiln.
- 2. Bisque Firing (2–3 days): We fire to 1,945°F, then wait a full day for the kiln to cool before unloading.
- 3. Sanding & Glazing (1 week): We hand-sand rough edges and apply your chosen glaze.
- 4. Glaze Firing (2–3 days): A second firing at 2,200°F creates that glassy finish. Again, we must wait for a slow cool-down.
- 5. Sorting: We quality-check and organize everything for you!
