Your 4-Week Clay Journey:

Over four weeks, we maximize your hands-on time to take you from raw clay to finished, functional pieces:

  • The Wheel Foundations (Weeks 1–2): Jump right onto the wheel! Week one focuses entirely on the fundamentals of wedging, centering, and throwing your very first cylinders. In week two, you'll throw new shapes while learning how to trim and clean up your work from the first session.

  • Expanding & Finishing (Weeks 3–4): In week three, you'll dive into trimming and attachments. The course wraps up in week four with surface design techniques to texture your work, followed by glazing session using our studio glazes.

    What’s Included:

  • Your Own Dedicated Wheel: Small class sizes mean plenty of direct guidance.

  • Premium Materials: All clay, tools, and a variety of studio glazes are included.

  • Professional Kiln Firings: We bisque and glaze fire all of your creations.

HOW TO PREPARE
- MANDATORY: wear CLOSED-TOE/ NON-SLIP SHOES.
- Trim your nails & leave jewellery at home

BEHAVIOUR:
Be supportive and considerate. Working with clay is a unique journey for each individual; please respect your fellow makers and the shared creative space.

CLEAN-UP: Clean-up is mandatory and included in the last 15-20 minutes of the workshop. Each participant must clean their wheel and workspace to the best of their ability.

ARRIVAL: Please arrive 5-10 minutes early. Classes start promptly. To be fair to other students, instructors will not repeat demonstrations.

DISCLAIMER: We take great care, but we cannot guarantee kiln outcomes. We are not responsible for damage, cracking, or glaze imperfections during firing. No refunds or discounts are offered for work that does not turn out as expected.

CANCELLATIONS

REFUND POLICY: All sales are final. Course fees, workshops, and memberships are strictly non-refundable. Once a spot is booked, it is reserved specifically for you. We do not issue partial refunds for missed classes.

RESCHEDULING: No. We do not offer reschedules or transfers to future sessions or different dates. Because our classes have limited seating and often sell out, your registration is final for the date purchased.

4-WEEK SERIES & WORKSHOPS: There are absolutely no make-up classes. For one-time workshops, you may send a friend in your place. For the 4-week series, if you miss a session, a technician will trim or clear-glaze your work for you to keep it on schedule.

6-WEEK COURSES: If you miss a class, we will do our best to fit you into another session within that same week only, provided a student wheel is available. This is a courtesy, not a guarantee. We do not "roll over" missed classes to future months.

ILLNESS & WEATHER: If the studio cancels due to weather or instructor illness, we will provide a reschedule date. We are unable to provide last-minute reschedules for student illness or injury. If you are unwell, please refrain from attending for the safety of our community.

POTTERY PICKUP

The 30-Day Pick-up Policy

Important: Because we are a busy studio with limited shelf space, we can only hold finished pieces for 30 days from the date they are completed and added to the pickup shelf. After 30 days, unclaimed pots are sadly cleared out to make room for new creations. Please check the status of your work above and plan your visit accordingly!
